Brock has more than 30 year’s experience in the financial sector. He started his career with the Royal Bank of Canada and held a number of positions in both Canada and Japan in the Capital Markets and Corporate Banking. In addition to being a Managing Partner at VRG Capital, he also sits on the investment committee of a multi-billion dollar private debt fund. 

He attended the University of Ottawa and the Université de Paris-Sorbonne where he received his degree in Economics. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant, a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario, a member of the Institute of Corporate Director’s, and a past member of the Association of Corporate Growth, the Turnaround Management Association, the Commercial Finance Association, the Association of Canadian Pension Management,  and the Investment Funds Institute of Canada. 

Brock was honored with the Governor General of Canada Award in 2004, and in 2019 he was inducted into the University of Ottawa Football Hall of Fame. He is a director of the Toronto Hunt and a Life Member of the Tokyo American Club.
