Brock has been managing partner of VRG Capital Corp. since 1998 and holds a number of directorships within the portfolio of VRG Capital companies, both private and public.
Brock oversees numerous investments within the VRG Capital portfolio and, on occasion, asserts direct control through assuming interim executive positions within portfolio companies. He has led the closing of more than 40 complex transactions, including direct investments, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings in both the public and private markets.
Prior to joining VRG Capital, Brock held a number of senior positions with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). Beginning in 1988, he was senior institutional trader in RBC's capital markets division with positions in Tokyo, Japan and Toronto. In 1994, he moved to RBC's corporate banking division, where he went on to manage loan portfolios in excess of $400 million.
Brock is a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants and the Society of Management Accountants and is a past member of the Association of Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association, Commercial Finance Association, Association of Canadian Pension Management and the Investment Funds Institute of Canada.
